Watch Out
For Gardenzilla
December 18 , 2000:
Daigle Design,
a Bainbridge Island graphic design and Web communications company,
has just completed a new Web site for Gardenzilla, an e-commerce
site for large garden urns, wall fountains and ornaments.
Gardenzilla.com
has items that range from 22 pound fiberglass urns, up to 1400
pound cast iron lions that would look good in front of a stately
mansion. The site's products include traditional cast iron urns
and statues, plus lightweight fiberglass versions of classic urns
and planters that have the appearance of bronze or cast iron.
''Gardenzilla.com
is a perfect way for gardeners and landscape designers to locate
these hard to find urns outside of Europe'' said Candace Daigle,
one of the company's principals. ''These are wonderful reproductions
of Victorian, Roman and Mediterranean designs that work well indoors
or outside.''
Daigle Design
built the site for Gardenzilla with a complete e-commerce capability,
so customers can order directly on-line. All the products are
shown on the Web site, with complete info on sizes, weights and
shipping. Gardenzilla expects that its market will be a mix of
home gardeners, professional landscape designers and the architectural/interior
design industry.
''We're very
pleased with the artistic way the Web site looks,'' Daigle added,''
as well as the ease that viewers will have in viewing it and placing
orders. Gardens are extremely popular in the U.S. now, with over
40% of homeowners' discretionary dollars now going into improving
the grounds arounds their homes.''
Daigle Design's
creative staff has been in graphic design since 1976 and web design
since 1996, producing corporate identities, web sites, product
branding, printed materials, ads, collateral and annual reports
for northwest and national clients.
Puget Sound
Business Journal has ranked Daigle Design (www.daigle.com) in
the top 25 northwest graphic design firms for the past two years.
The firm is the only company outside of Seattle and Bellevue to
make the top rankings.
